Mets sweep last place Yankees
19. May 2008 by Glendo.

The Mets swept the rain shortened weekend series from the Yankees in the Bronx, by winning 11-2 last night. The Mets jumped all over Wang in the 4th and then in the 8th, Wang was charged with 7 runs in 7.2 IP. Perez pitched well giving up 2 runs in 7.2 IP and improved to 4-1 in his career against the Yankeees. The Mets are now tied in the lost column with the Marlins for first place in the NL East, while the Yankees drop to 6 games behind the Red Sox and remain in last place in the AL East……..worst umping I have ever seen in these two games, not even going to get started on it.
I was at the game last night, my first and maybe only trip to The Stadium, and I loved it. The game was outstanding for me, being a Mets fan, but the whole atmosphere was amazing. Before the game was soaking in the entire stadium and I got to admit its a great place. I’ m thrilled I got to go and see the Mets destroy the Yankees in their own stadium lol. But seriously it was a great time, especially when the stadium was over taken by Mets fans in the 8th and 9th innings, felt like Shea.
Ryan Church talking to reporters about hearing ‘Lets Go Mets’ cheers, while playing in Yankee Stadium:“It is nice…We gave them something to cheer about, and that’s important. We’ve always said we appreciate the support.”
Yankees OF Johnny Damon, said:“They had a reason to be out there cheering. They ended up kicking our butts. It was pretty embarrassing.”
The Mets now head to Atlanta for a big division series against the Braves. The Mets will get to see their old friend Tom Glavine in game 1 of the doubleheader on tuesday. I hope they crush him………..big series for the Mets must play real well before heading to Denver, especially after this weekend lets not have a let down.

Game 7…Wow…Still shaking
19. May 2008 by rich.

i love you Paul Pierce and i love you Celtics…and thank you Eddie House and PJ Brown for some timely plays…wow, what a game…after Lebron made that crucial steal and slammed it home to bring the Cavs within 1, I for one was worried that it was just meant to be (and meant to be b/c the refs treat Lebron like he’s MJ, but that’s a whole other article for another day)…anyways, another 7 game series, another “W.” unreal, i am still shaking w/ excitement, nervousness, and now am anxious…detroit is up next starting on Tuesday night at 8:30pm.
