As an outsider, the rest of the series was Celtics domination, but the last game would’ve been a little more interesting if the Lakers even showed up.
Obviously the Celtics showed up big time in the clutch game, but the Lakers didn’t make it hard for them at all. Granted I don’t watch too much basketball but the amount of horrible panic passes and the amount of times they were caught sleeping where Rondo would just come and grab the ball out of their hands was just rediculous. And before the Celtics really made that run, the amount of panic bricks that LA threw from 3pt range was just embarrassing.
It’s natural for a team that’s down to panic, so I put a lot of blame on Phil Jackson poorly managing players caught in quicksand. Can’t argue the Celtics didn’t show up though, the only thing that could’ve made it even close was if stupid Kobe had a 50+ pt game. Overall I thought the series was pretty good, but as a defense-dominated series you’re not gonna see too much fancy and exciting moments.

That’s the thing…With such a great defense, the games aren’t “exciting” to the average fan…But boy are they to the hardcore…How sweet it is…

And thanks Glendo for the props.

Congats richy rich…i was UBER annoyed at kobe/jackson and the lakers… between the knicks and this playoff series I have lost faith in big market teams…i think i am rooting for memphis or philly next season… lakers really did not show up… i missed game 5 and i watched last nights game till halftime, thats the first time since 97 that i have not watched a full basketball final series, i just could not get into it… i dont mean to take anything away from the celts a well deserved and well earned win but lakers did not want to play anymore it seemed…
