Favre Update

Sunday we were told there would be an open QB competition in Green Bay once Brett Favre returned. Sorry Aaron Rodgers.

Yesterday we witnessed a media frenzy on all sports outlets as Favre returned to GB and got off his plane and drove himself from the airport. All I wanted to do was turn on ESPN News to get scores, not here about Brett Favre all day.

Today, after hearing that the two sides have met for hours on end since he has arrived, Favre has said he wants to be released. Can we just end this already?

Update (8/5/08 @ 7:22pm): ESPN News is reporting the Bucs are in talks w. the Pack regarding a Favre trade.  Stay tuned.

    So Favre is going to be traded it seems…Bucs are in talks right now according to ESPN News.

    The Packers have played this horribly. I know his going back and forth once again screwed their draft strategy and whatnot, but they’re really just being too bitter about this whole thing.

    I think he should be the 14th starting QB for the Fins since my retirement. They can find extra cash by switching Ricky Williams’ pay to strictly grass.
