NO RICH NO!!!!!!!!! The Giambi age will be over....history should not repeat itself.

No, if you want to talk about using all the $$$ to take Aaron Rowand of the hands of the Giants then I'm all ears. He will be president one day...just look at how he stands!

should have a salary cap, but probably never will, might as well take advantage.

posada can DH for all i care, Tex is exactly what the Yankees need, no ifs, ands, or buts.

I don't know how I feel about Tex, especially since Posada's gonna be turned into a 1st base/DH soon enough.

But because Hank finally realized his mistake of not going hard for Johan, ofcourse next year's already inflated expenses for trips to the stadium are gonna skyrocket cause he's just gonna go crazy signing guys. It's really effin annoying.

I care about the salaries because it looks rediculous spending so much money for so many years now and not being able to make it to the 2nd round of playoffs when the Marlins/Rays/etc. are getting the job done with less than A-Rod's salary. It's disgusting, every sport should have a salary cap. IMO...

Normal people won't even be able to go to a game next year, or maybe even a few years, so the payroll doesn't matter lol...
Jimmy is right, this Yankee team has no heart, some of them just don't seem to "care."
I disagree about Melky, he sucked this year dude, no way to sugar coat it whatsoever.
Holliday I think is unrealistic (plus he plays in COL, which does inflate numbers mind you) even though I do love him, but CC and Tex are.
And LOL at Glendo putting 'geo' in quotes...hahaha

I know my team, and this batch of Yankees don't care. They are still getting paid to lose. They have no heart. Bring in the young guys, they will show NY some heart. Take Melkman out and look what happens. Giambi, Abreu, Pavano, 20+17+10. They should sign CC for 4 yrs. Trade for Matt Holliday, and sign Teixeira. I dont know why I or anyone else cares about Yankees Salary. We pay more for a ticket every year. SO sign everyone out there.

and in the last month of the season they have several series that go head to head with these teams in front. The Yanks are on the border but with all these matchups and a good amount of home field advantage left, so at this point anyone who's just discarding any possibilities they have to come back is doing it out of sour grapes (especially from someone who's team is on the verge of being on the wrong end of a year-end slide for the 2nd year in a row).... ;-)

first of all 'geo' the phillies were handed the divison last year, they only played like .500 ball in sept., anyway the yankees are dead, they have 4 teams in front, not one
