Dennis Haysbert may be best known for his role on “24″ as President Palmer, as the AllState spokesman, or as Jonas Blane on The hit TV show “The Unit” on CBS. But think back long and hard. Who was that voo-doo practicing slugger with his buddy Jobu? Yep, it was Dennis.

Manny to LA

The Globe’s Gordon Edes just reported that a deal has gone down with Manny Ramirez. Nick Cafardo reported that the Dodgers were Manny’s believed landing spot.
Cafardo also reported that he thinks the Red Sox may have landed Jason Bay from the Pirates as part of a three-team deal between the Red Sox, Pirates, and Dodgers.
SI.com is also reporting that Manny has been dealt to the Dodgers, with the Pirates getting four minor leaguers in the three-way trade.
Wright added to All-Star team

David Wright has been added to the NL All-Star to replace the injured Alfonso Soriano. This will be Wright’s 3rd consecutive All-Star appearance. He will join Billy Wagner at Yankee Stadium.
Breaking News: Tiger Done For the Year

After a breath taking victory over Rocco Mediate in the Open on a playoff, Woods will have surgery on his left knee, ending his 2008 campaign. The surgery is rumored to be on his ACL. Supposedly his doctors warned him, but Tiger is a competitor. Looks like Tiger won’t be on the prowl for a while…
